Palo Alto Police seeks any information about a strong-arm robbery that allegedly occurred Monday night.

According to a press statement released Wednesday, a female employee of a downtown Palo Alto business walked westbound on the north block of the 200 block of Hamilton Avenue, when at about 10:45 p.m. on May 13, a man grabbed her ponytail and pulled her into the Lane 12 West Alley.

Inside the alley located between Ramona and Emerson streets, the man—who the victim never saw—demanded money. The victim gave him money from her purse and then he released her and fled northbound through the alley.

The victim was unharmed and the suspect remains on the loose.

She reported the incident on Tuesday morning May 14, 2013. She described him being taller than 5 feet 5 inches, with a deep raspy voice. He had no accent.

The last robbery downtown occurred on March 3, 2013, according to the PAPD, but it's unknown to them if there is any connection between the two incidents.

Anyone with information about this robbery can contact the PAPA 24-hour dispatch center at 650-329-2413.
