Mountain View Cyclist Killed In Weekend Vehicle Crash
The 67-year-old man was struck by a vehicle at the corner of Oak Avenue and Grant Road in Los Altos.
LOS ALTOS, CA -- A Mountain View man died Sunday after a vehicle struck him on his bicycle at the intersection of Oak Avenue and Grant Road in Los Altos.
The Santa Clara County Fire Department responded with Los Altos police officers to the crash on Saturday at 9:26 a.m. where Stephen Purcell, 67, was killed. He was transported to the hospital for injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation. Alcohol and drugs are not a suspected factor in this investigation, and police department's traffic division is looking into the cause.
