LOS ALTOS, CA -- A vehicle crashed into a school building on Fremont Avenue Friday, startling the motorist and prompting police to complete a sigh of relief that remarkably no one was hurt.

Officer Edgar Nava said that at 10 a.m. the female driver of the Tesla sedan drove off the street over the curb into the parking lot and hitting a pillar before the car penetrated the AJ Tutoring office by "at least 20 feet." The office was closed at the time.

"We're unsure what caused the crash," Nava told Patch based on what the driver told officers.
