Vehicle Crashes Into El Monte Fire Station

Firefighters heard the sound of a car crash outside their fire station Monday night. The driver was transported to Stanford Medical Center.

LOS ALTOS HILLS, CA -- Firefighters didn't have to go far to respond to a vehicle crash Monday night, as an SUV careened into the masonry wall outside their El Monte Fire Station.

The crew heard the crash at 6:01 p.m. and found a senior who needed treatment. He was transported to Stanford Medical Center. It was unclear whether the medical emergency occurred before the crash or if the injuries were caused by the crash.

No one was injured in the fire station located at Foothill College, and the station did not receive structural damage.
