Vehicle Hits Pole; 1 Lane Open On Alpine Road

Drivers are advised to find alternative routes, as live wires are down due to the crash, officials said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA – A stretch of Alpine Road between Westridge Drive and Arastradero Road is restricted this morning with only one lane open due to a collision that also downed wires, officials said.

A vehicle hit a power pole either late Tuesday night or early this morning, and the partial road closure is expected to continue for several hours, until approximately 12 p.m., according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office and utility officials.

Live wires are down and motorists are advised to use alternate routes, as crews clear the power lines off the road.
