April Fools, Anyone?

It seems every time Mother's Day or Father's Day rolls around, my nephews seize the opportunity to pose their favorite question, "How come there is no Kid's Day?"

The answer, of course, is, "Every day is Kid's Day."

However, even if there is no official day to celebrate all that is kiddiness, there is a day designated for childish activities. 

That day happens to be today.

The first day of April marks the one time of the year where the people who pride themselves on being mature can strip down to their inner-child and fool their friends and loved ones with some questionable humor. 

And it's also an opportunity to show your creative side.

A friend of mine told me recently how she covered the shower bar soap with clear nail polish one year. So, what looked liked soap did not lather like soap.

One year, having bought my friend a much-needed new pair of Vans for his birthday, I cut the front of the shoe soles from beneath the shoes. 

The shoes immediately became flip flops once he put them on.
