Car Crash Causes Brush Fire In Malibu
A car went over the side of Kanan Dume Road Tuesday night and caused a brush fire.
MALIBU, CA — A vehicle crashed over the side of Kanan Dume Road in Malibu Tuesday night, sparking a brush fire.
Los Angeles County firefighters were dispatched at 10:24 p.m. to the intersection of Kanan Dume Road and Cavalleri Road in Malibu, about a mile north of PCH near Paradise Cove, according to Franklin Lopez of the LA County Fire Department.
A brush fire was announced at 10:32, and was extinguished by 10:37. The size of the fire was not available.

The occupant of the car was transported to a nearby hospital via helicopter at 11:25, according to Lopez.
Northbound Kanan Dume Road was closed after the incident but has since reopened.
