The Los Angels County Department of Public Health announced that most sector-specific COVID-19 safety requirements would be lifted as of June 15, 2021 to align with California's statewide reopening. The move is in response to the County's high vaccination rates and steady decrease in cases, hospitalizations and deaths, which are now at their lowest levels since the pandemic started.

The Order removes the local capacity limits on businesses and other sectors, physical distancing requirements, and many other required safety modifications. There are still exceptions and safety requirements for youth, healthcare, and other high-risk congregate settings, including facemask use in some settings, as well as reporting and testing requirements. See all details and exceptions in the complete new Order at  http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/coronavirus/docs/HOO/HOO_SaferReturnWorkCommunity.pdf

LADPH urges everyone, especially those who are not or cannot be vaccinated, to continue to exercise caution and good judgment as physical distancing requirements and capacity limitations are removed across LA County.
