Debate, Township Council Meeting Tonight

Malibu discusses public issues in two separate forums.

The Malibu Chamber of Commerce and The Malibu Association of Realtors will host a debate for the 2012 Malibu City Council Candidates, at HRL Laboratories.

The event is free, and members of the public are encouraged to attend and listen to the views of the seven candidates running for office.

“Directors from both professional associations will try to determine the candidates who possess the business acumen and skills required to protect and promote the local business and community and fill the three City Council positions that will become available," said Don Schmitz, 2012 President of the Malibu Chamber of Commerce. "We want to feel assured we will have a strong partnership with whomever we elect as our local representatives."
