Earthquake Strikes South Of Malibu

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said it had no reports of injuries or damage, and that it was monitoring the situation.

MALIBU, CA — A magnitude 2.1 earthquake with an epicenter near Malibu was recorded Monday morning.

The epicenter of the 7:03 a.m. temblor was about 6.21 miles south of Malibu Beach, at a depth of about 8.2 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said it had no reports of injuries or damage, and that it was monitoring the situation.
