FEMA Letter is not the last word for survivors of Woolsey Fires

You can take action. Visit the Disaster Recovery Center at Malibu Courthouse or call 800-621-3362. The deadline is Jan . 11th.

Some of the reasons why you received a letter is because there us some information missing such as Insurance settlement papers, need to verify identity, maybe other members of the household also applied, damages had not been verified, or didn’t keep the appointment with the inspector.

Please stay in touch with FEMA, regarding changes, and unmet needs. Also it is important to return the SBA loan application and part if the process. SBA offers federal low interest Loans to renters, homeowners, businesses of all sizes and nonprofit organizations. SBA disaster Loans are the primary source of money to pay for repairs or replacement costs not fully covered by insurance or other compensation.

Jan. 11th is the deadline to apply for FEMA and SBA.

Jan. 28th is the deadline to submit Right of Entry Form required for Debris removal at the FEMA Center at the Malibu Courthouse.

March 14th is the deadline to apply for disaster unemployment.
