Malibu Prevails On LA's Most Expensive Neighborhoods List
It's no secret the iconic beach city costs a pretty penny to live in – and LA's top 10 list of most expensive neighborhoods reflects that.

MALIBU, CA – Property Shark released a list of the top ten most expensive neighborhoods in Los Angeles based on median sale prices, and Malibu stands out in a big way. Out of the top ten most expensive neighborhoods, the iconic beach city scored seven spots. Beverly Hills comes close behind, no surprise, with the other three spots – yup, the two cities make up the entire top ten list.
The number one most expensive neighborhood in Los Angeles is The Colony in Malibu, with a median home price of $13 million for this year. A handful of celebrities live in the exclusive gated waterfront community including Tom Hanks, Rob Reiner, and John McEnroe, according to Curbed Los Angeles.
Trousdale Estates in Beverly Hills snags the second spot at a whopping $9.3 million. The other two Beverly Hills neighborhoods are Beverly Hills Gateway, which comes in at number four with a median price of just over $8 million, and Beverly Hills Flats, the number six spot at $7.6 million.

- Beverly Hills Flats, Beverly Hills: $7.6 million
- Malibu Road, Malibu: $7.446 million
- Serra Retreat, Malibu: $6.35 million
- Broad Beach, Malibu: $3.85 million
- Point Dume, Malibu: $3.785 million
