New Environmental Summer Course Open For Enrollment
The course, run through Cal State Northridge and the City of Malibu, is open to all students .

Cal State Northridge (CSUN) will debut a new environmentally-oriented summer course in partnership with the City of Malibu this summer.
The six-week course, “Life in the Sea,” was created to increase environmental education opportunities among students, and will be offered as an open-enrollment class, which means that all students, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled at CSUN, can register for it.
Students enrolled in “Life in the Sea” will learn about the diversity of life in the world’s oceans, with emphasis on the Southern California biota, or total collection of organisms of a geographic region.
There will also be a laboratory component to the course, where students will study the classification, physiology, behavior and ecology of marine organisms through online and field exercises.
