Malibu Offers Free Tennis Clinic For Girls 10-14

The clinic is part of the city's #PlayLikeAGirlMalibu​ initiative, which aims to encourage girls of all ages to participate in sports.

MALIBU, CA — The City of Malibu offering a free Girls Tennis Clinics as part of the #PlayLikeAGirlMalibu initiative.

Girls ages 10 to 14 can participate in the Girls Tennis Clinic, instructed by Coach John Rom, for a day of tennis drills and scrimmages, the City of Malibu press release said. All skill levels and experience levels are welcome.

The Girls Tennis Clinic will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at the Malibu High School Tennis Courts.

"The #PlayLikeAGirlMalibu campaign aims to encourage girls of all ages to participate in the City’s wide offerings of youth sports classes as well as to provide a platform for girls’ sports programs to be highlighted in the community," the City of Malibu said. "The City’s goal is to improve the representation of women and girls in positions of leadership in sport and recreation."
