Tom Schaar, 12, pulls off skateboarding's most elusive trick.

Malibu youth Tom Schaar, 12, landed a "1080" on his skateboard this past Monday, the first time in history that the trick has been pulled off.

A 1080 consists of three full rotations in the air. The most high-profile skateboarders today have been unable to do what the sixth-grade phenom accomplished.

Schaar, who is sponsored by Red Bull, in Malibu and first picked up a skateboard at age 3, according to his mother and former Malibu Planning Commissioner, Regan Schaar.

Tom has since turned professional and traveled the world with perhaps the world's most famous skateboarder, Tony Hawk.
