Massive Wolf Rescue! Join the Malibu Farmers Market saving lives!

One of the largest rescue operations the national wolf-dog rescue community has seen. Please support the High Desert Wolves Rescue Team!

Time is of the essence, we only have until November 2, 2018 before these animals are euthanized. They need additional donations to save the final 60 and supply the rescues taking these animals with continued support including remaining transport, spay/neuter, vetting, properly built enclosures, food and other needs. Please don’t wait to help these innocent animals, act now before it’s too late!

A small team of rescuers is attempting the impossible – rescuing 161 animals from a facility in Lassen County, Northern California called High Desert Wolves. Originally slated to be destroyed on Monday October 8th, The rescue team, made up of Plan B to Save Wolves, Apex Protection Project, W.O.L.F. Sanctuary of Colorado, Pets Return Home, Wolf Mountain Sanctuary and other individuals in the rescue world, has been granted an extension by the county to Friday, November 2nd, to safely remove as many of the dogs from the property as possible before they step in and euthanize the remaining animals. So far, The High Desert Wolves Rescue Team has been able to vet and transport 90 animals to safe havens around the country. With the deadline looming and approximately 60 still needing placement, time is of the essence and help is desperately needed.
“It’s amazing what can be accomplished in an emergency. Originally, our small team of rescuers was given under a week to save 161 animals from High Desert Wolves.” Says Plan B Executive Director and rescue coordinator Betsy Klein, “We have 60 dogs on the property and 15 days to save them. If 20 groups could each take 3, or 10 groups each take 6, we would save them all. When you break it down like this, saving them all is achievable.”

The team has spent upwards of $50,000 in donations from around the country for this operation to save 101 animals total to date – many of which are puppies. Along with donations, the team is requesting help in the form of:
