Meet an “Amazing” Going Strong in Her New Writing Career at 80

Elisa Costantini, at 80, who has just published her second cookbook, “Italian Moms: Something Old, Something New,” never thought that she’d be launching a successful career as an author at 78 years young when she wrote her first cookbook.

Worried that his Mom was slipping into depression after the death of her husband, her son Frank figured helping his mother collect a life’s worth of her phenomenal recipes would lift her spirits. It worked! Probably better than either of them ever thought since through Kickstarter, they raised enough funds to get book #1 off the ground and gain national attention. Not surprisingly, book #2 is also a big hit. Way to go!
