Power Restored To Point Dume After PCH Accident
366 SCE customers were without power Monday morning after a car crashed into a pole.
MALIBU, CA — Power has been restored to 366 homes around the Point Dume area are without power Monday morning after an early morning traffic collision at PCH and Cavalleri Road.
Power was lost Monday morning after a car crashed into a poll at the 6400 block of Cavalleri Road, near PCH, according to the Malibu-Lost Hills Station at around 4:50 a.m. Westbound lanes were closed, and the driver and the passenger were admitted to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Power was restored to Point Dume by 11 a.m., Lost Hills told Patch via the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

Two other outages hit the area near Point Dume Monday morning, according to Southern California Edison’s online outage center.
One customer around Escondido Canyon lost power due to a pole upgrade, but that has been restored as of noon Monday. 16 customers near City Hall and Webster Elementary are without power due to a cable upgrade. SCE estimates that outage will be restored by 2 p.m. Monday.

The Point Dume area has been hard-hit by power outages. It lost power numerous times during the fall and winter as part of SCE's Public Safety Power Shutoffs.
