MALIBU, CA — A rockslide Tuesday morning in Malibu caused a brief closure of Malibu Canyon Road.

California Highway Patrol got a report at approximately 8:51 a.m. of a slide around 2100 Malibu Canyon Road, on the north side, according to Officer Casey Ramstead. The southbound lane of the road was closed down while two officers and two traffic dispatchers monitored the scene.

The area was cleared and reopened by 9:15 a.m., Ramstead said. There were no reports of injuries or accidents. The closure came after much of the street was blocked for most of Sunday after a car crashed into a power pole. The pole has since been replaced.
