GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) Science students at Juan Cabrillo Elementary have the opportunity to study the different Malibu ecosystems and create field guides to identify the native plants, animals, and geological features of each system.

GATE Science is a hands-on program that expands the science curriculum. Students attend weekly labs at school and take excursions guided by local experts. The science program is an important part of Juan Cabrillo’s GATE curriculum.
