Southland Wind Advisory In Effect Through Thursday Afternoon

Southern Californians can expect winds from 20 to 30 mph and gusts up to 45 mph to blow through the area.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for parts of Southern California. The area is expected to be hit with northeast winds reaching anywhere from 15 mph to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

The advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. and applies to parts of the San Fernando Valley, including Burbank, Woodland Hills, Universal City, and Northridge.

The winds are expected to be strongest in the Chatsworth and Porter Ranch regions.

Winds are also expected to blow through the interior and coastal valleys of Ventura County and the Santa Monica Mountains, and Santa Clarita Valley.
