Super League Triathlon Heads To Malibu For American Debut
The famous triathlon will head to Zuma Beach this September as part of the Malibu Triathlon.
MALIBU, CA —There are few places that are better, or more difficult, to run, bike, and swim than Malibu, with its world-famous beaches and towering mountains. Triathletes from all over the world will get a personal taste of Malibu’s rugged scenery in September, when the Malibu Triathlon will host the first American race for the Super League Triathlon.
The Super League Triathlon, which hosts swim-bike-run events throughout Europe, just announced that it will hold its first American race at Malibu’s famous triathlon on Sept. 25 and 26, 2021. 20 men and 20 women triathlete champions will compete in a series of grueling races in Malibu, near Zuma Beach, to compete in the Championship Series.
On Sep. 25, the Olympic Distance race will feature a 1.5-kilometer (0.9-mile) ocean swim along Zuma Beach, then a 40-kilometer (25-mile) bike ride along Pacific Coast Highway, then a 10-kilometer (6-mile) run along the sands of Zuma Beach.

You can cool down the following day with the Classic Distance race, which features a half-mile ocean swim, 17-mile bike ride along PCH, and 4-mile run along the sands of Zuma Beach.
