Ask Your Mayor Questions, Manhattan Beach! It's Coffee Time Today

Manhattan Beach Mayor Richard Montgomery holds a live event every first and third Wednesday of the month from 3-4 p.m. to answer questions.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — What do you want to know about your city? Have a pressing concern? Want to know more about what City Council is doing about Bruce's Beach? Maybe you want to know what the city is doing to help businesses remain afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic. Manhattan Beach Mayor Richard Montgomery cuts to the case and answers questions every first and third Wednesday of the month from 3-4 p.m. with his "Coffee With The Mayor" live events. He is holding one today from 3-4 p.m.

Montgomery told Manhattan Beach Patch he doesn't know ahead of time what questions will be asked, however, for today's Coffee event he does anticipate talking about the next City Council meeting set for August 18, where a factual history of Bruce's Beach will be presented. He also said folks should "join every week for current city events and issues that concern them."

Montgomery, who is running as an incumbent for City Council in the Nov. 3rd election, is slated to be mayor until the second Tuesday in December when Mayor Pro Tem Suzanne Hadley will take over. The mayoral seat in Manhattan Beach rotates between City Council members since the city does not elect one person to be mayor.
