City Hall Extends In-Person Services With Virtual Options
Face coverings are required for unvaccinated and optional for vaccinated people.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Following the easing of COVID-19 regulations from the state and county departments of public health, the city has extended City Hall business hours to allow for in-person services.
City Hall is accessible to the public Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The city continues to offer virtual services and recommends utilizing these convenient options by phone and online.
“The City has very much been looking forward to returning to normal operations. Our improved public health metrics and the wide availability of vaccines mean that City Hall and our Police & Fire Building can once again reopen to our community,” Mayor Suzanne Hadley said in a statement. “... I look forward to welcoming the public back once again to our city facilities.”

The city of Manhattan Beach will align with the Centers for Disease Control, state of California, and Los Angeles County guidance on the wearing of face coverings. While the city continues to encourage the use of face coverings at City Hall, face coverings will be optional for vaccinated individuals and required for unvaccinated individuals.
As with every business sector during the coronavirus pandemic, the city has also adapted to the new normal of service delivery to accommodate community preferences. Upon entering City Hall, visitors to the Parks and Recreation, Finance, or Community Development Departments will have a virtual queueing system where visitors can sign in using an iPad or through their smartphone.

Visitors can avoid waiting inside the limited space of the City Hall lobby and receive a text when staff is ready to service each individual. Customers seeking assistance from the Community Development Department specifically should visit the City’s website before visiting City Hall as some processes have changed. In order to initiate a service request with the Community Development such as requesting a building permit, customers must initiate the process using the City’s Citizen Self Service Portal online and be mindful of service schedules.
The city encourages everyone to continue taking advantage of city services provided remotely (online and over the phone) at www.citymb.info/appointments.
If your business with the city cannot be accomplished over the phone or via online service, city staff members will be available to assist during hours of operation.
