City Issues Protocols For League Sports Face Coverings

The city of Manhattan Beach has detailed when participants in league sports should and should not wear face coverings.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Following the County Department of Public Health’s revision to the Reopening Protocol for Youth and Adult Sports Leagues, the city of Manhattan Beach has issued an emergency order specifying that active participants in league competitions are not required to wear face coverings.

However, face coverings must be worn when not participating in the competition, such as on the sidelines. See the emergency order on the city’s website.

Additionally, schools and recreational sports organizers are permitted to have more restrictive policies, where necessary.
