COVID-19 Positive Cases Going Up More Rapidly In Manhattan Beach

Just four days ago, the number of COVID-19 cases increased by 10 in one day for Manhattan Beach residents. Tow days later, it's up by 6.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — No matter the angle and slicing and dicing, Manhattan Beach has had an increase in residents testing positive for COVID-19 in the past four days. The case count had been holding steady and moving in small increments, if at all, however, today [Sunday, Oct. 25] the number is 408 positive cases since Los Angeles County began testing for and tracking coronavirus cases in March.

Cases in the city were at 392 and jumped by 10 in one day, to 402 as of Friday, Oct. 23. On Sunday, LA county reported Manhattan Beach's number at 408, an increase of six since Friday.

The county has said it is dealing with a backlog of testing.
