Earthquake Shakes Up Three South Bay Area Beach Cities

The magnitude 2.7 earthquake was reported Thursday evening, two miles from Manhattan, Redondo, and Hermosa beaches.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Did you feel it? A magnitude 2.7 earthquake was reported Thursday at 8:27 p.m, just two miles from three South Bay area beaches, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake happened two miles from Manhattan, Redondo, and Hermosa beaches, and three miles from El Segundo and Torrance.

The quake was reported at a depth of 6.9 miles.
