MANHATTAN VILLAGE, CA — Manhattan Beach Mayor Richard Montgomery recently stopped at Manhattan Village for a shopping trip and saw firsthand what the newest parking deck looks like. Manhattan Village is going high-tech with EV chargers in its parking structures, aka decks.

For the crowd that needs electric vehicle chargers, Manhattan Village is creating parking areas that include EV chargers. The north east parking structure, aka deck, was completed first and is located adjacent the north entrance to Macys. It includes 12 Tesla Superchargers [increased to 24 soon] and 8 Chargepoint units.

The "south deck," which was completed in March, and has 8 Chargepoint units. The area will also be home to Manhattan Village's future Plaza, complete with bike room, restrooms and valet. The "north deck" will be completed in mid-2021.
