Family Camp Out Returns To Manhattan Beach This Weekend

The 24th Annual Family Camp Out will include games, arts and crafts, a family swim, movie and more.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The 24th Annual Family Camp Out will return to Manhattan Beach this weekend. The event starts Saturday, May 18 at 1:30 p.m. and ends the following morning, Sunday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m.

The Family Camp Out costs $35 per person for Manhattan Beach residents ages 3 and up, and $38 per person for non-residents.

"Bring your whole family out to enjoy the serenity and inspiration of nature through this low-cost camping experience. Throughout Polliwog Park and Begg Field, children and parents can enjoy an amazing outdoor space to play and exercise," the City of Manhattan Beach website said. "After setting up your tent, join in family games, bounce house, and arts and crafts projects organized by recreation leaders. On Sunday morning, join in on our 36th Annual Fishing Derby starting at 8 a.m.!"

The camping fee includes breakfast, dinner, camp activities and refreshments, the City said. It will be held at Begg Field, located at 1402 North Peck Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
