Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Wattanakiat and Sripho: The business opened on Sept. 1, 2020.
Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: We are longtime friends and are both sushi chefs with many years of experience in the restaurant and the catering business. We have always wanted to go further in this career path, so opening a restaurant was a dream goal for us. We have been searching for the right place and time to start our business. We've found this perfect spot — which is where we are now — on Manhattan Beach and fell in love. We are very fortunate to be in the position that allowed us to open a new business at this time.
Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: Consistently great food and service.
Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: Getting people to know about our business.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: Seeing customers happy and appreciating our food, as well as knowing they are glad that we are open and serving the community during this time.
Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: Our food — we are using the best and highest-quality ingredients. We make sure our food is made with consistency and always meets our standard. Plus, our service is always friendly, personalized, sincere and positive.
Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: Don’t be afraid of failing. Be afraid of staying the same.
Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited
about?
Wattanakiat and Sripho: We will start having Happy Hour from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. daily.
