Gap Narrows Between Franklin, Fournell In Manhattan Beach Vote
Two Manhattan Beach City Council candidates are caught up in the ballot tally still coming in as one narrows the gap, moves closer to a win.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach City Council candidate Grettel Fournell stills maintains a slight lead over Joe Franklin as ballots continue to be tallied. As of 11:15 a.m. today, [Thursday, Nov. 5] Fournell's lead has gone from 262 votes to 243. She now has 15.04% of the vote with 6,775 to Franklin's 14.50% with 6,532.
The election results are not official until the numbers are certified and that is expected to take place as late as early December with the final update from the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office set for November 30.
For their parts, incumbents Napolitano and Montgomery appear to have the number one and two slots wrapped up. Napolitano now has 10,467 votes for 23.23% and Montomgery has 8,661 for 19.22%.

Phoebe Lyons vote count is 5,891 for 13.08%; Mark Burton is at 5,346 votes for 11.87%, and Chaz Flemmings has 1,383 votes for 3.07%.
