Get To Downtown Manhattan Beach For Sidewalk Sale, Outdoor Dining

Downtown Manhattan Beach is the place to be this weekend. Today through Sunday find incredible deals at the Sidewalk Sale. Grab a bite, too.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Quaint outdoor dining and sales at the majority of shops are turning downtown Manhattan Beach into the place to be this weekend. The annual Summer Sidewalk Sale gets underway today and lasts through Sunday. Many merchants are offering substantial savings that you'll find in store, outdoors on the sidewalks, and online.

Be sure to wander down to Cotton Cargo on Manhattan Avenue where everything in the store is 30% off and they'll have a $10 rack of clothes and a $20 rack. Nearby on the same side of the street, Tabula Rasa Essentials is featuring 20% off everything in the store and has tables of sale merchandise as well. The store offers free delivery within 5 miles, curbside pickup and has a great online store, too. Across the street, Manhattan Denim is offering up to 75% off items.

That particular stretch of Manhattan Avenue, from Manhattan Beach Boulevard heading south, is a great stretch for shopping. Finders Keephers, a consignment shop that does have new merchandise, caters to women and girls and stocks the unisex skateboard and LA vibin' Supreme and Hustlenpray brands. On the same side of the street, William B + Friends is offering 50% off sale items and will have some surprise sales.

Just up from Manhattan Beach Creamery at the corner of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Manhattan Avenue, you'll find 3rd Gallery and Harper + Harlow, two really great finds. 3rd Gallery has been around for over 40 years and if you've yet to discover their refreshing patio out their back door, you've got to stop in. Staff at 3rd Gallery says items of women's clothing will be 20-70% off. Next door, Harper + Harlow is featuring 50% off everything in the store.

Just up the street at the corner of Manhattan Beach Boulevard and Highland Avenue sits Wright's, another Manhattan Beach legend and tradition. Thaissa Voigt told Manhattan Beach Patch their clothes, shoes and accessories for women would be offered for as much as up to 70% off. Across the street just down from Starbucks and Simmzy's, Bella Beach Girls & Kids is offering 20% off everything in the store.

Downtown Manhattan Beach is home to some wonderful, amazing stores and shops, including Riley Arts Gallery, where you can find framed art and photos by Manhattan Beach's Pete Halvorsen, famed photographer Slims Aarons, and works that capture Manhattan Beach, the beach vibe, rock 'n' roll and pop culture. Some works come with certificates of authenticity. The gallery also offers custom framing, said Kim Riley. Other galleries downtown include Pacific Coast Gallery, tucked in at 1217 Highland Avenue, which is offering 50% off their Gallery Edition photos during the sale, and Bo Bridges Gallery on Manhattan Avenue.

Other downtown Manhattan Beach shops of note include Go Gently Nation, sustainable women's and kids' wear, Beehive in Metlox Plaza facing Manhattan Beach Boulevard (across from Vons), Nikau Kai, waterman's shop, and Skecher's, where there's a 20% discount in place.

Dining options are abundant, with outdoor dining decks in place. Stroll the downtown and catch a bite or drink, or both. Shellback Tavern, Rock 'n Fish, Brewco, Manhattan Pizzeria, Tacolicious, Fishing With Dynamite, MB Post, Simmzy's, The Rockefeller, Uncle Bill's Pancake House, Kreation, The Kettle, Hennessey's, Petros, Nick's, Costa Manhattan Beach, The Strand House, The Arthur J, Slay Italian Kitchen, Slay Steak and Fish House, El Sombero, Ercoles, Homie, Ocean View Cafe, Pitfire Artisan Pizza, Zinc @Shade Hotel, Rice are just some of the places to sit and enjoy a meal, drink or bite. Other open food places include Gelato + Angels, Becker's Bakery, Paradise Bowls, and Pressed Juicery.

The City of Manhattan Beach has a mask ordinance in place, so do wear a facial covering that covers your mouth and nose [except when dining] or risk fines that begin at $100.
