Here's The Latest Crime Report From Manhattan Beach Police Dept.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Crime was up in Manhattan Beach during the period from June 1-13, according to a crime report released by the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The report lists 40 incidents, including accounts of burglary, theft, and assault.

Domestic Abuse

Between 6/5 and 6/9, there were three reports of domestic abuse that took place on the 100 block of Manhattan Beach Blvd, 3300 block of N. Sepulveda, and 100 block of Marine Pl.

Auto Theft

There were four accounts of auto theft reported between 6/3 and 6/12, including an e-bike being stolen from the Manhattan Beach Pier.

Burglary

There were nine reports of both commercial and residential burglary between 6/6 and 6/10. Two reports of smashed windows occurred at the location on the 900 block of N. Aviation Bl. A window was also smashed and the power shut off at a location on the 800 block of Manhattan Beach Bl. On the 1000 block of N Aviation, a door was pried open and the power was shut off. A home on the 100 block of S Aviation Bl was the target of an attempted robbery. Two construction sites were burglarized, one 0n the 100 block of 2nd St; the other on the 1000 block of Pacific Ave.

Robbery

A reported robbery occurred on 6/4 on the 3200 block of N Sepulveda Bl. Keys were stolen.

Vehicle Burglary

There were five reports of vehicle burglary between 6/8-6/12. In one of the cases, a catalytic converter was stolen from the 1800 block of Rosecrans Ave. On 6/9, a purse was stolen from a car on the 500 block of 29th St. Two vehicles had windows smashed, one on the 1100 block of Ocean Dr; the other on the 700 block of John St. Shoplifting was reported on the 1800 block of Rosecrans Ave.

Theft

There were 13 reports of theft in Manhattan Beach between 6/2, including three catalytic converter thefts, on the 1200 block of 9th St, 1400 block of Faymont Ave, and the 1700 block of 9th St. On 6/3, an e-bike was stolen on the 3700 block of The Strand. Money was stolen from an unlocked car on the 500 block of 5th Pl. Skateboards and miscellaneous items were stolen on the 1600 block of 8th St.
