Here's What's New With Skechers Pier To Pier Friendship Walk 2020

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Skechers Pier To Pier Friendship Walk is going virtual for 2020, according to an email. The fundraising event delivers dollars to children with special needs and public education, including Manhattan Beach Unified School District. The event will include celebrity appearances and performances. A livestream presentation will take place on Sunday, October 25 beginning at 10 a.m.

In 2019, approximately 17,000 people supported the Walk which delivered some $600,000+ to The Friendship Foundation and additional funds to six local education foundations, including the Manhattan Beach Education Foundation, via the Skechers Foundation, which also awards scholarships to individual students.

Registration is now open online. The virtual event is $30 per virtual walker and includes a T-shirt. Donations are being accepted online, as well, by sponsoring an individual walker or team. The Walk is looking for corporate sponsors to join Chevron, Wells Fargo, Mattel and others.
