MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Trash collection services and street sweeping in Manhattan Beach will take the day off on New Year's Day, Friday, Jan. 1. The missed street sweeping day will not be made up, however, Waste Management trash collection services will be adjusted by one day, meaning if your trash is usually picked up on Friday, this week it will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 2.

Waste Management will continue recycling holiday trees through Friday, Jan. 15. Trees must be less than 7 feet long or cut into 7-foot sections (neither Waste Management nor City employees can cut trees for residents). Remove all lights, decorations, tinsel, ornaments and metal stands.
Flocked trees will be collected at the curb but cannot be recycled. Trees that are being recycled should be placed next to the resident's carts before 7:30 a.m. on their regular collection date for free pick-up and recycling.

Residents are advised to contact Waste Management directly at (310) 830-7100 with any questions about their refuse service, refuse bill or materials that need to be disposed of.
