Hospital Needs Help Identifying Latina Woman Found In Torrance

The unidentified woman has said her name is Lucia and had no identification on her when found on Pacific Coast Highway outside a hotel.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a Latina woman who has said her name is Lucia. She was found on September 7 in front of the Ramada Hotel in Torrance on Pacific Coast Highway [90505 zip code] by the Torrance Fire Department and taken to a local hospital.

The woman, who had no documentation or evidence of her identity with her, is alert but unable to communicate any information beyond her first name and sometimes the last name Hernandez, according to a Los Angeles County news release.

She is believed to be in her 70s; her height is 4' 8"; she weighs 117 pounds; has brown eyes and grey hair. She has a medium build with no tattoos and a mole on the left side of her face above her mouth. Upon arrival to the hospital, she "appeared well groomed and was wearing black shoes and blue sweatpants," according to the news release.
