MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Manhattan Beach police recovered several unregistered firearms following a routine traffic stop early Saturday morning, according to police officials.

Officers report stopping a vehicle for a code violation in the area of 33rd St and Aviation Blvd, officials said.
Following an initial investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and recovered a loaded unregistered handgun with a round in the chamber.

Police also recovered two loaded magazines, one of which was a high-capacity magazine.
It was revealed that the driver is prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm, and was subsequently arrested on multiple charges.
