The opening of JOEY Manhattan Beach as created 125 jobs, with another 75 planned when the restaurant is able to operate at fuller capacity. JOEY had intended to open its Manhattan Beach location sooner but COVID-19 set that back.
As the COVID-19 crisis evolved, all JOEY Restaurants "prioritized the safety of their guests and their staff as restaurants are beginning to reopen and operate across Southern California. In addition to the mandatory regulations that have been set forth for restaurants in the state of California," JOEY Manhattan Beach has implemented procedures and regulations, including encouraging guests to make contactless payments via the JOEY Pay app or at web.joeypay.com, as well as, accessing menus on your mobile phone at JOEYRestaurants.com or single use menus when needed.
The JOEY Manhattan Beach interior offers expansive ceiling features, including a central decorative lighting installation at the entry and a backdrop of a warm suspended wood ceiling above. Within the lounge, a lush green ceiling installation creates an oasis-like setting in front of a large commissioned art piece by local LA Artist, Amber Goldhammer. Goldhammer’s signature style includes unique drips of paint and sweeping gestural movements. Her paintings transmit a special kind of magic that are both calming, moving and also self-reflecting.
JOEY MB will be open daily from 11 a.m.-1 a.m., except for Sundays when the restaurant will close at 12 midnight. Due to the pandemic, the restaurant advises that closing hours may change. Happy hour is from 3-6 p.m.
