Lakers To Don Classic 1987 Jerseys In Tonight's Game Against Celtics

LOS ANGELES, CA -- The Los Angeles Lakers will wear jerseys modeled after the ones they wore during their 1986-87 championship season for Friday evening's game against the Boston Celtics at Staples Center.

This is the last of the season's three Hardwood Classics Nights, all against teams the Lakers defeated in the 1987 playoffs.

The game will be preceded by "Friday Night Live" from 4-7 p.m. in Microsoft Square directly across from Staples Center, where fans will have the opportunity to take pictures with the Larry O'Brien Trophy, get autographs from the Laker Girls, participate in games and win prizes, including tickets to Friday evening's game.

Laker broadcaster Mychal Thompson, who played center and power forward for the Lakers from 1987-91, will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans from 5:30-6:45 p.m.
