Lobster, Special Menus, Meal Kits: Manhattan Beach Restaurants
Friday, Sept. 25 is National Lobster Day and National Quesadilla Day. Here are some lobster offerings, as well as special menus, meals.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A new sushi restaurant in North Manhattan Beach is ready for National Lobster Day, as are several other Manhattan Beach restaurants. FanSea Sushi at the corner of Highland and Rosecrans avenues is a relative newbie to a corner location that seems to change eateries quite a bit in recent years. FanSea Sushi aims to change all that.
From FanSea's lobster menu, you can order a lobster handroll or cut roll. And their much-loved Sunkissed Roll bakes lobster on top of crabmeat in a cucumber roll. The roll is given a spicy designation and comes with green onion and an eel and chili sauce. You can order online and FanSea encourages you to call them with any questions at (424) 398-0083.
In more lobster news, the acclaimed Fishbar just a hop, skip and jump away from FanSea Sushi, offers a Lobster Cobb Salad on their regular menu, as well as Lobster Tacos, Lobster Mac & Cheese, a one-and-a-half pound Maine Lobster, and a Lobster Roll Sandwich for your everyday dining pleasure. Other places to find lobster on the menu include Fishing With Dynamite and Rock'N Fish in downtown Manhattan Beach.

In other MB dining news, The Arthur J, MB Post and Zinc @ Shade, all in downtown Manhattan Beach, continue to offer family meals and meal kits. Order in advance before they run out. And Shellback Tavern recently "installed" [hah!] an Aviation High School football seat cushion that was donated. And Owner Bob Beverly just the other day reminded the uninitiated of how Shellback got its name: "The owner who changed the name from The Surf to the Shellback (Richard 'Dick' Swartz) was a U.S. Navy Seal. A Shellback is one who has crossed the equator at sea. A Golden Shellback has crossed the equator at the international date line."
