MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A portion of Manhattan Avenue in Downtown Manhattan Beach will be closed during the day tomorrow [Thursday, Feb. 11] to allow restaurants to prepare for outdoor dining in the roadway. Outdoor dining on Manhattan Avenue from 12th Street to Manhattan Beach Boulevard will begin on Friday, Feb. 12.

According to City of Manhattan Beach staff, "There are message boards located on Manhattan Avenue at either end of the closure, as well as on Highland Avenue entering the city limits to provide advance notification to commuters of the pending street closure."

Restaurants expected to benefit from being allowed to expand into the full roadway include Manhattan Beach Post, Fishing With Dynamite, Tacolicious, Nando Trattoria, and Slay Steak + Fish House.
