Manhattan Beach: Here's Your 9/11 Memorial Gathering For 2020

An observation, remembrance of 9/11 will take place on September 11 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the City of Manhattan Beach's 9/11 Memorial.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach community is invited to join in a remembrance of 9/11 tomorrow, Friday, September 11, at the city's 9/11 Memorial on the corner of Valley Drive and 15th Street near the Manhattan Beach Fire Station in downtown Manhattan Beach. The remembrance will begin at 8:30 a.m. and has been organized by private individuals.

After gathering, the Pledge of Allegiance will be recited at 8:40 a.m. and a moment of silence observed at 8:48 a.m. Audience members will be asked to share memories and stories beginning at 8:50 a.m. followed by the placing of flowers at 9 a.m., as well as silent prayers and the musical rendering of TAPS.
