Manhattan Beach Police Looking For Suspect Who Committed Lewd Act
A juvenile female and her friend were approached by the unknown man as they walked in public last Tuesday, February 9 around 5:30 p.m.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach Police are looking for a male suspect believed to have committed a lewd act on a child. Last Tuesday, Feb. 9, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a female juvenile was walking with a friend through the Metlox Plaza located at 451 Manhattan Beach Boulevard when an unknown male adult approached them. The victim and her friend were walking through the common area, and as the man walked by the victim, he reached towards her and placed his hand over the exterior top portion of the victim’s groin, according to an MBPD news release.
The victim and her friend fled the area as did the suspect, who is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 30- to 40-years-old with bushy eyebrows, a dark beard, and dark hair and eyes. He was wearing a zip-up hoodie, dark pants and a beanie.
The victim worked with a sketch artist from the Torrance Police Department to provide the sketch of the suspect.
