Manhattan Beach Volley Star Gets Her Own Chipotle Menu Item

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Chipotle has announced its largest celebrity-inspired menu launch in history to celebrate American athletes. Manhattan Beach volleyball player Alix Klineman is one of eight athletes joining Team Chipotle to launch new digital menu items and episodes of Chipotle “Unwrapped,” which provides an inside look at Chipotle’s athlete super fans and what it takes to compete at the highest level (see Alix's video below).

Burrito and volleyball lovers can now eat like Klineman by ordering her go-to order on the Chipotle app and Chipotle.com. The Alix Klineman Bowl, which is available for a limited time, consists of Double Chicken, Brown Rice, Pinto Beans, Extra Fajita Veggies, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa, Light Romaine Lettuce, Light Sour Cream, and Guac.

“Chipotle is proud to be an integral part of athletes’ training regimens across all levels,” Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement. “We’re excited to share Team Chipotle’s stories and rally our fans around these elite competitors.”

Starting Wednesday, June 16, fans can eat like their favorite sports celebrity through specially curated menu items:

In addition to the new digital menu items, Chipotle worked with partner athletes to launch behind-the-scenes training content as part of its “Unwrapped” series. The “Unwrapped” videos provide an inside look at Chipotle’s athlete super fans and what it takes to compete at the highest level.
