Manhattan Beach's Taylor Ryan Needs Your Vote Today To Win Event

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Taylor Ryan of Manhattan Beach has been notified she will be one of the eight, out of 36, national semi-finalists to advance to the Finals in the National Young Entrepreneur Academy competition today at 4 p.m., said Kelly Stroman, CEO/president of the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.
A Mira Costa High School freshman, Taylor competed as a semi-finalist against 36 other students from around the country earlier today. She is competing for the title of America's Next Top Young Entrepreneur at the YEA! 12th Annual Saunders Scholars National Competition as CEO of Unstoppable Protective Gear.

She is competing virtually in the Shark Tank style pitch competition that will award more than $80,000 in cash prizes and college scholarships to the Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology to the students with the best businesses in the U.S.
Taylor was selected to be the Manhattan Beach finalist and advance to the national competition, having graduated from the MB YEA! program in May 2020. YEA! is a seven-month national program, hosted by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.

Taylor is a finalist for the overall award and in the People's Choice Award category, which is voted on by the public via texting. She will receive $2,000 if she wins the People's Choice distinction. She is Finalist #2 in the People's Choice category.
