Mask Citation Numbers Go Up In Manhattan Beach As Do Warnings
Manhattan Beach City Manager Bruce Moe presented the latest statistics on the numbers of citations issued for not wearing a face covering.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Since mid July when the City of Manhattan Beach began to issue citations to people not wearing a facial covering in public, the city had issued a total of 816 mask citations year to date, said City Manager Bruce Moe at last Tuesday's City Council meeting.
Moe added that warnings to wear a facial covering numbered 6,371 year to date, with 348 warnings happening since the last report at the Sept. 15 city council meeting. During the same time frame, mask citations saw an increase of 178.
Moe told the council the city had had 28 new cases of COVID-19 since Sept. 15. As of yesterday's COVID-19 statistics, the city had an increase of 6 positive tests for COVID-19 from when Moe reported a total 0f 372 in the city as of Tuesday. Yesterday's data for Manhattan Beach put the number at 378.
