MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —Mayor Suzanne Hadley and the Manhattan Beach Police department will be holding a virtual Town Hall meeting on June 8 to discuss the city’s public safety response.
"Over the last year, Manhattan Beach has endured the stressors of a pandemic, civil unrest, rising crime, continuing challenges from homelessness, as well as changing county priorities related to prosecution," Hadley told Patch. "Some of these challenges have eased; others are on the rise. Please join me to learn important information on how MBPD, city staff and council, and resident groups work together to protect our residents, businesses, and visitors.”
Topics being covered will include the Police Department Organization, calls for service data and actions, crime statistics, homelessness, eBike safety, neighborhood watch, and emergency notifications.
