Missing Manhattan Beach Woman: Family Hoping For 'Miracle' 6 Months In

Nancy Paulikas has been missing for six months and her family is still holding out hope of finding her.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — This past Easter weekend was the sixth month in which Nancy Paulikas has gone missing. Her family is hoping an "Easter miracle" will bring her home. They have increased the reward for finding her to $30,000 in hopes that anyone who may have seen her comes forward with information — any information.

"After 6-months Nancy’s appearance may have changed drastically," said Kirk Moody, Paulikas' husband. "Since Nancy is unable to care for herself, and in fact requires significant caregiving, both the family and the police believe it is most likely that she is in a facility or group home under the wrong name or as an unidentified patient."

Paulikas, 55, was last seen about 3 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art at 5905 Wilshire Blvd., according to Manhattan Beach police.

She is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall, about 140 pounds, with a thin build, light complexion, brown-gray hair and blue eyes. She last was seen wearing a red long-sleeve blouse with a white paisley-flower pattern, blue jeans and navy blue sneakers.

Paulikas is in good health and able to walk long distances without tiring, but does not communicate well, according to Manhattan Beach police Detective Paul Ford. She is very highly-educated and an accomplished professional but the condition has left her at the developmental stage of a 4-year-old, Ford said.

Paulikas has early on-set Alzheimer's, which left her with little ability to communicate. Anyone with any information was urged to call (310) 650-7965 or to email the family at nancyismissing@gmail.com.
