Mostly Thefts In Manhattan Beach In Latest Police Crime Report

Find out where the two residential burglaries took place as well as auto theft and vehicle burglaries. One robbery, one assault took place.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Eight thefts marked the latest crime report issued by the Manhattan Beach Police Department. Other crimes for the period of October 26 through November 1 include two residential burglaries, one robbery, one assault, two auto thefts and two vehicle burglaries.

The residential burglaries occurred in the Hill Section in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue and in the Tree Section in the 2400 block of Palm Avenue. A gate was left unlocked in one of the residential burglaries, a window smashed in the other.

The robbery took place in the 2900 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard and the assault happened at North Redondo and Rosecrans avenues. The auto thefts [one was an attempt] were in the 1700 block of 5th Street and the 3800 block of Ocean Drive. In one instance, keys were left in the vehicle.

In both of the vehicle burglaries, the windows were smashed. One was in the parking structure at 1200 Morningside Drive in downtown Manhattan Beach; the other the 200 block of 12th Street.

The thefts involved four catalytic converters, two shoplifting incidents, one fraud and one involved a situation in which a bike was left unlocked.
