Nine New Cases Of COVID-19 In 3 Days In Manhattan Beach

While we don't know the severity of each illness nor the ages of those testing positive, we do continue to see a slow upward trend.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Nine new cases of COVID-19 have been reported by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health since last Thursday. The number on Thursday was 272 cases of COVID-19 in the city since early March when data started to be recorded. The number today [Sunday, August 8] is 281.

El Segundo has now just gone into the 100 range with 102 cases there. Palos Verdes Estates has 76 cases; Rancho Palos Verdes, 238, Rolling Hills, 5, and Rolling Hills Estates, 32. Hermosa Beach now has 160 and Redondo Beach has 460.

According to Public Health, the "numbers today include all of the current lab reports from the state’s electronic lab report system (ELR). Today’s numbers do not include backlog numbers; the state anticipates sending the backlog of lab reports over the upcoming days."
